About us
The Coach & Horses has existed on this site as a hostelry since the mid 18th century. Originally, it stood at the Eastern end of Chichester as either the first or last 'watering hole' on one of the main routes to London, providing sustenance to travellers and locals alike.
We are the last 'traditional' pub in St Pancras, serving a range of real ales and fine wines in a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.
We have the city centre's largest and (we think) nicest beer garden, providing an oasis of calm in the heart of the city. Sunny patio or shady grass for hot days, peaceful cool relief on sultry evenings. This is where we also hold Barbeques regularly, the best way to eat 'al fresco'.
With live music every Saturday, you can hear a selection of talented groups and individuals playing a variety of styles of music. We also have a Pub Quiz every Sunday evening, where you can win cash prizes, wine and chocolate. We have traditional pub games such darts and bar billiards along with pool and probably the best stocked jukebox in the city.
Look out for our new Bar Food menu, scheduled for the beginning of 2008, with sandwiches, toasties, jackets, ploughmans etc.
Drop in to see us and pick up a list of forthcoming events, or just relax for a while.
